CEO of the International African American Museum: We need to seize control of our identity

In 2019, the International African American Museum will open in South Carolina. The museum is designed to help preserve the history and culture of the African American community. CEO Michael Boulware Moore’s main goal is to educate African Americans, specifically the younger generation, on their own ancestors’ struggles and triumphs. The idea is to allow African Americans to tell their side of the story, both to each other and to America at large.
